Looking for a highly-educational multilingual school for your child? Explore BCIS offer and discover prestigious curriculums in different languages.

Nestled in the heart of Thailand's most famous island, Berda Claude is the multilingual school in Phuket reshaping what an international education can look like.

While many schools tout their global credentials, BCIS backs them up - with two internationally recognised curricula, world-class facilities and a student body representing more than 50 nationalities.

An international campus with multiple curriculums

 BCIS brings the energy and resources of a world-class international school - while staying community-rooted. Students leave with more than IGCSEs and A Levels or the Brevet and Baccalauréat qualifications - they gain life skills, language fluency and the confidence to lead their own journey.

Here, two distinct schools - the British Cambridge and the French National - share a campus and philosophy that students are confident learners when they feel known, challenged and trusted.

Families can choose either the British Cambridge Curriculum or the French National Curriculum, both respected globally. What unites them is the day-to-day experience: multilingual learning, shared access to elite sports and specialist academies, and a learning atmosphere that blends rigour with the joy of embracing ‘good struggles’ and learning how to learn.

There are many things I absolutely love about this school. The most important is the way they teach languages like French and English is fantastic.

We’re part of the ISP network

BCIS is part of the International Schools Partnership - ISP, a network of more than 100 schools worldwide. This connection isn’t just for show - it opens the door to international exchanges, leadership programmes and shared learning projects that expand students’ perspectives.

And the school’s academic ties stretch further still: its sister school, Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School (Bangkok Prep), is one of Asia’s most established British international schools.

British Cambridge International School in Phuket

The Cambridge pathway is a known quantity to many Asian families - and for good reason. With a structure designed to balance depth and flexibility, it prepares students for IGCSEs and A-levels, qualifications recognised by universities around the world.

At BCIS, the Cambridge curriculum is delivered by experienced teachers who treat students not as test-takers, but as thinkers, readers and researchers.

Berda Claude International School in Phuket

The French National Curriculum, recognised and accredited by the French Ministry of Education, offers a parallel route rooted in:

  • academic discipline;
  • strong science and mathematics foundations;
  • language mastery;
  • cultural depth.

With students preparing for the Brevet and Baccalauréat, the French stream at BCIS ensures graduates earn credentials respected across Europe and beyond.

Education has been my passion for many years. At my core, I believe that kindness, respect, and trust are the foundation of a thriving school community. I am committed to fostering an environment where students feel safe, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Multilingual learning

A multilingual school isn't just about offering a few extra classes. At BCIS, students speak English or French alongside Thai, Mandarin and Spanish, with strong support for EAL learners.

More importantly, language is lived here. Students navigate ideas - and friendship - across languages, building fluency alongside empathy. Thai culture isn’t a sidebar either, it's embedded, celebrated and respected.

BCIS is truly an amazing school. The students are friendly, the teachers are wonderful, and I enjoy every moment I spend here especially being part of such a diverse, multilingual community.

Co-curricular activities that spark interest

BCIS students explore their interests, grow their talents and develop new skills through a vibrant programme of co-curricular activities (CCAs). These include creative, cultural, sporting and STEAM-based clubs that span all ages—from Early Years through to Sixth Form.

These activities are rehearsal spaces for life - where students try new things, discover hidden talents, and build the life competencies that carry into every learning space. Whether learning to lead in chess club, collaborating in drama, or building resilience through sport, students build confidence by doing.

Popular extra curricula activities (ECAs) at Berda Claude include:

  • Basketball;
  • Futsal;
  • Badminton;
  • Table tennis;
  • Volleyball;
  • Junior swimming;
  • Martial arts;
  • Coding and game design;
  • Astronomy;
  • Photography,
  • Chess;
  • Cooking;
  • Art;
  • Fitness.

Early Years students explore creativity and curiosity through clubs like Thai culture, arts and crafts, and English for Beginners.

Specialist academies that build skills

At BCIS, specialist academies enrich the learning journey through focused, high-quality training in sport, performance and movement. Students train with expert coaches in the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Football Academy, South Timez Dance Academy, and Phuket’s only indoor ski and snowboard centre, Ski’N’Finite.

Academies in gymnastics, swimming, and STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Maths)  run year-round, helping students discover and grow their talents. Whether developing their rhythm in dance, their stamina on the pitch, or their confidence on snow, BCIS students use this rehearsal space to grow - and to discover what excites them most.

While select academies also welcome the wider Phuket community through after-school and holiday programmes, BCIS students benefit from priority access and strong links between these experiences and their everyday learning.

Global learning opportunities

ISP’s international learning opportunities give BCIS students a passport to the world. Students take part in real-world global programmes such as ISP Model United Nations, ISP Filmmakers, ISP Chess Masters, ISP Virtual Exchange, and ISP Cultural Exchange. They collaborate with peers from Colombia to Malaysia, produce short films, explore space science, and share perspectives on culture, climate and innovation—all while developing critical thinking, confidence and global citizenship.

A shared experience

BCIS is made up of two schools, but the day-to-day is collaborative. Students share facilities, extracurricular clubs international events, and a learning culture rooted in mutual respect. Junior and Senior learners each have age-appropriate spaces, but the tone remains consistent: curious, confident and inclusive.

Here students and teachers co-create learning spaces, students voice their views, and a culture of respect permeates every classroom.

Results that reflect the journey

In 2024, BCIS students achieved a 98% IGCSE pass rate, 95% A Level pass rate, and 100% honours in the French Brevet and Baccalauréat.

These outcomes matter - but so does the journey. Students leave BCIS prepared not only with academic qualifications, but with the mindset, skills and confidence to thrive anywhere.
