Two pathways for academic excellence

Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB)

The DNB is awarded at the end of Year 10. It assesses students on core subjects like French, Maths, History, Geography, Science and Civic Education. Students complete written exams and an oral exam. To pass, they must achieve at least 400 points out of 800. The DNB helps students develop key academic skills, preparing them for further studies and higher education. Higher scores can earn distinctions, highlighting students’ achievements.

Baccalauréat (Bac)

The Baccalauréat is a comprehensive exam taken at the end of Year 13. It consists of written and oral exams, along with continuous assessment, with subjects including French, Philosophy and chosen specialties. Students’ final marks are based on these assessments, with honours awarded for higher scores. Achieving a score of 10/20 or higher, allows students to enter university. The Bac is recognised worldwide, providing students with opportunities to pursue higher education or enter the workforce.
